It’s been years since cars were allowed to drive on Jacksonville’s beaches. But, years ago, our sandy shores were covered with autos. Scenes from what it used to look like in the 1920s and 30s are immortalized on vintage postcards, old black and white photos that were colorized and turned into commemorative pieces of art. Many of these cards were produced a local company from which Jacksonville Magazine descends.

We dug into our collection of old postcards and pulled out our favorites for a new line of frame-worthy prints. Each collection includes three separate beach scenes. Each is printed on 8.5 x 11 watercolor paper and will fit most off-the-shelf frames. The image area for each print in this collection is approximately 4 by 7 inches. Some trimming may be needed when framing, depending on the type and size frame you purchase. This collection is ideal for a casual den, guest room or bathroom. Of course, it’s a natural for a beach house.
